New York: NBC and MoMA

On the second day we woke up early to try for standby tickets at Jimmy Fallon. We were told to go back to the NBC studios to check in three times but in the end missed out on tickets. It was a bit of a bummer but it left us the rest of the day free, which we spent at MoMA – The Museum of Modern Art.

MoMA was very fun, with lots of interesting pieces through the lower levels, and amazing artwork on the higher floors. I loved Frida Kahlo and her husband Diego Rivera’s work which was bright and colourful. We really liked the Van Goghs too, as did a lot of other people who were clustered around these paintings.

One of our very favourite pieces was Monet’s Water Lilies. It is displayed in a whole room of its own, and I could look at it for hours. Maybe I can drop hints to Kran to buy it off MoMa for me for my upcoming birthday ;)
