To make the most of the last few summer nights in the Bay, we headed to Bobby’s Fish Market on a cheeky Friday night to try out their famous fish and chips. Clearly everyone in town turned out too because there was an hour wait to pick them up once you’d ordered. The fishing boat docks right next to the shop, so the fish is super fresh.

We placed our order and went to The Phoenix bar for some drinks before heading back to pick up our food.
By the time we picked up our paper packets full of goodies we were starving, and sat on a bench away from the hordes of seagulls to eat.
We ordered two flake fillets ($4 each), a full serve of chips ($4), and 4 scallops ($3 each). You also have to buy a ‘tin’ of tomato sauce if you want any because they don’t simply have packets but we came prepared with a container full of tomato sauce.
Definitely one of the top 3 fish and chips we’ve ever eaten! The scallops were battered in a herby mix that reminded me of fish and chips from Long Johns Silvers that I had as a kid, but better obvs.
Watching the sun set whilst eating our fish and chips on a bench overlooking the Bay. Priceless.
