We were invited to one of the opening nights for the Paradox street art festival which includes a Banksy and street art gallery exhibition at the Tauranga Art Gallery. For a small city, I’d have to say that Tauranga does some pretty cool things. This exhibition was definitely one of them!
If it was in Melbourne, there would be queues out the door and you would have to pay a mint to get in. We couldn’t get over the fact that it’s a FREE exhibition!! It doesn’t get any cooler than that.
There were beautiful huge mural pieces on some walls, a virtual reality gallery with art by Rone (from Melbourne yay!), and drinks by the Mount Brewing Co and mini sliders by Tag Burger. And of course, several walls hung with Banksy art.
It was really well curated and was such a fun school night out!
Now you see it… now you don’t.
